Board Chair: Timothy Seibert, is an owner/principal in the land planning and landscape architecture firm N.E.S. As a small business owner, Mr. Seibert must be actively engaged in the financial and operational aspects of the company; he is also the principal-in-charge of many planning, design, and construction projects throughout Colorado. Mr. Seibert received his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) from Ball State University and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) from University of Colorado.
Board Vice-Chair: Katherine Brophy, a founder of the school, homeschooled her six children for nine years. Previous to her teaching career, she worked for the American Trucking Association assisting both the publisher and the director of advertising for Transport Topics, the weekly newspaper of the association. She also worked for The LaSalle Company, a national K-12th grade textbook distributor. She received her BA in English Literature from Saint Mary’s College. An accomplished vocalist and guitarist, Mrs. Brophy is passionate about music in education.
Board Treasurer: Rob Levis, currently president of Levis Consulting, is a Certified Public Accountant, who specializes in business valuation and litigation consulting. With corporate experience ranging from Extended Stay America to Blockbuster Entertainment, Rob brings keen business savvy to the Board, especially in the area of strategic planning. Mr. Levis received both a BS in Accounting and his Master of Accounting degree from the University of Florida.
Board Secretary: Kara Hrbacek taught for six years at Trinity School at River Ridge. She attained the distinction of being a Master Teacher, monitoring and evaluating teacher performance while also training teachers to teach the curriculum more effectively. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of St. Thomas with a BA in Philosophy and Theology.
Board Directors:
Diane Allen-Philips, is Interim President & CEO for the Urban League of the Pikes Peak Region. She has been working in fund development & management for non-profit organizations over the last five years and prior to that has been involved in sales and marketing. She received her BS in Environmental Design from Illinois State University and her EMBA from Colorado Technical University.
Mary Margaret Alvarado is an accomplished author and poet who has a long-standing passion for teaching great literature to students from impoverished backgrounds—demonstrated in her year volunteering to lead seminars at a YWCA Homeless Center in Indiana to her year teaching English at a low-income high school in New York. Currently Mrs. Alvarado teaches literature and creative writing at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She received her BA from the University of Notre Dame and her MFA from the University of Iowa.
Marilyn Newell, a Real Estate Broker, has a management consulting and investment banking background. Not only does Mrs. Newell bring marketing experience to the Board, she was the President of Southern Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce and President of School District's PTO and served on the District Accountability Committee. Mrs. Newell received her BA in Economics from N.C. Wesleyan College.
