On Friday\, October 2\, the Soifer Mathematical Olympiad will be hel d on the campus of UCCS from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Entering its forty-sec ond year\, the Soifer Mathematical Olympiad is a unique\, essay-style math competition. MacLaren invites interested Upper School students to compete each year. The only qualification is a student's interest in solving uniq ue problems rarely seen in the standard curriculum (although at MacLaren t enth and twelfth graders do encounter problems of this kind). The competit ion usually has a good showing of MacLaren students\, many of whom have be en recognized with awards over the years.

On Friday\, October 2\, the Soifer Mathematical Olympiad will be hel d on the campus of UCCS from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Entering its forty-sec ond year\, the Soifer Mathematical Olympiad is a unique\, essay-style math competition. MacLaren invites interested Upper School students to compete each year. The only qualification is a student's interest in solving uniq ue problems rarely seen in the standard curriculum (although at MacLaren t enth and twelfth graders do encounter problems of this kind). The competit ion usually has a good showing of MacLaren students\, many of whom have be en recognized with awards over the years.
