Join Us for the Inaugural MacLaren Society Event!


What is the "MacLaren Society?" Well, at Thomas MacLaren School, we believe that all human beings can know truth, create beauty, and practice goodness. The MacLarenáSociety is dedicated to bringing this pursuit to the broader Colorado Springs community through the lenses of the humanities, the sciences, and the arts.á

What will be at the Inaugural Event? The title of the Inaugural event is "A Conversation about Conversation." and will feature Gideon Bob: Eavesdropping on Nature, Nico Alvarado: Talking to Myself, and Michael and Catherine Hanson: Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante.

When? January 31st, Doors open at 6:45 p.m., first speaker begins at 7:00 p.m.​ There will be breaks between speakers to refresh your drink and share your thoughts about what you just experienced.á

Where? The Pinery at the Hill, 775 West Bijou Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80905

Who is invited? We think these topics are of interest to many, and the conversations about them are worth having. Please, invite your friends! This event is for adults, so please do not bring your children.

Cost? It's free! There will be appetizers and a cash bar.á

MacLaren Stands Out in Region and State

We are proud to announce that the class of 2015 has achieved the highest average ACT score in the Pikes Peak region and ranks #2 in the state! This class scored an average of 28.1 on the ACT test they took in April 2014. This class will beáthe third graduating class of Thomas MacLaren School. Each class has posted ACT scores which have placed them in the top 10 in the state.


Also, Thomas MacLaren School was ranked today by Schooldigger.com as the #1 high school in the state of Colorado after posting excellent scores on the TCAP tests from Spring 2014. These high scores included 100% Proficient and Advanced scores for 9th and 10th grade Reading and a 100% Proficient and Advanced score for 9th grade Writing.áGO HIGHLANDERS!
