Picture of Paul von Boeck

Paul von Boeck currently works as an Operations Analyst and Technical Trainer for Northrop Grumman. He attended Arizona State University and holds a Masters in Educational Technology with undergraduate studies in English and Secondary Education. Mr. von Boeck has two children who are alumni of the school. Paul serves as the School Board representative on the School Accountability Committee. [2nd term: December 2023]

Picture of Meredith Wardwell Sherman

Meredith Wardwell Sherman serves as the Director of Facilities and Construction for Centura Health, a healthcare company comprised of seventeen hospitals across the Front Range of Colorado. Mrs. Sherman has spearheaded master planning and strategic planning efforts for numerous hospital campus plans and renovations. Prior to her work with Centura, Mrs. Sherman was a Senior Project Manager at Northwestern Medicine in Chicago and Stanford Hospitals in Palo Alto.


Mrs. Sherman holds a MBA from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School as well as a MS in Civil Engineering and BS in Architectural Engineering from University of Colorado - Boulder. Mrs. Sherman is a Colorado Springs native with a passion for the Springs community and its long-term growth and development. She has two children attending MacLaren. [1st term: March 2022]

Picture of Khristine Prickett Vadala

Khristine Prickett Vadala is a Key Account Manager at Glory Global Solutions working with top tier financial institutions for the past twenty years. She attended San Diego State University, graduating with a BS in Marketing. She has over 25 years experience volunteering within the Colorado Springs community with schools, non-profits and other worthy organizations. She has two children attending MacLaren. [1st term: July 2023]

Picture of Diane Borre

Diane Borre has been the Business Manager at The Vanguard School for fifteen years. She previously served as Business Manager at James Irwin Charter Schools and Finance Manager at American Academy. Diane is involved in the charter school community in Colorado and has volunteered at other charter schools, the Colorado Department of Education, and the Colorado League of Charter Schools. She served as a mentor to charter school Business Managers, was a Board Member of the Colorado Business Manager Network, a founding Board Member of James Irwin Charter High School, and a member of the Charter School Support Initiative. Diane and her husband have three children and have lived in Colorado Springs since 1983. [2nd Term: June 2023]

Picture of Hannah Parsons

Hannah Parsons is the Chief Operating Officer at Barn Owl Tech. Her career has spanned financial services, real estate, community and economic development. She co-founded Epicentral Coworking in Downtown Colorado Springs with the goal of bringing together the entrepreneurial community. In 2017, she co-founded Exponential Impact, an early stage technology accelerator and incubator committed to growing early stage companies and increasing access to growth capital. Prior to her work with Exponential Impact, she served as Chief Economic Development Officer for the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC. She serves as a Director on several boards including the Statewide Internet Portal Authority, Colorado Council for Advancement of Blockchain and Exponential Impact. 

Ms. Parsons holds a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in International Business and a MBA from Georgia State University with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. She has one child attending MacLaren. [2nd Term: January 2024]

Picture of Dawn Conley

Dawn Conley currently works as the Special Assistant to the Mayor and runs her own marketing company, Helix. She attended The Ohio State University, and has a degree in Economics and has worked in several different locations across the country and worked for General Electric in Europe. Dawn is very involved in the community, and has volunteer and board experience with many organizations and recently worked on legislation that yielded a positive impact for military spouses with occupational licenses. Mrs. Conley has one child that attends MacLaren. [1st term: February 2023]

Picture of Carol Neel

Carol Neel is Professor of History at Colorado College, where she has taught since 1980 and held multiple chairships in the History Department and the Faculty Executive Committee. She received her B.A. in Classics from Bryn Mawr College in 1976, and her M.A., then Ph.D. in History from Cornell University in 1981. Dr. Neel has published several books and many articles on medieval family and spiritual life, and is a specialist in twelfth-century religious communities. Among her teaching interests are child rearing patterns throughout the European and American pasts, a topic which her own four children have given her great interest and some insight. [1st term: February 2024]
